in Discovery and Development of Electrosynthetic Reactions

The position is available immediately, the starting date is flexible till January 2026. The doctoral researcher will work on a 3-year-doctoral program. The successful candidate will be supervised by Prof. Dr. Siegfried R. Waldvogel.

Your tasks:

The Department of Electrosynthesis at MPI CEC provides a unique environment, which employs state-of-the-art experimental approaches to provide novel and sustainable reaction methodologies. The appointed researcher will be performing electrochemical reactions and tune reaction conditions to optimize for products of high (industrial) relevance. The student will also be involved in investigating the reaction mechanism and performing studies on the scalability of electrosynthetic processes. The successful applicant will also be preparing scientific publications and presenting their results at national and international conferences.

Anforderungsprofil:

Your qualifications:

Applicants are required to have a Master's degree certificate in chemistry, chemical engineering or related disciplines. Experience in organic synthesis is required, prior knowledge of electrochemistry is beneficial, but not necessary.
